Conduct during Training
The Scholarship System is committed to providing and maintaining a learning environment that is welcoming, engaging, and respectful. We welcome questions within the Facebook group, but please try to stay on topic. Please be respectful to the instructors and other attendees. Avoid making comments that are racist, sexist, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, harassing, insulting, hostile or not-safe-for-work (NSFW).
If you make such comments or engage in other harassing, inappropriate, or disruptive behavior, The Scholarship System reserves the right to dismiss you from the training. If The Scholarship System decides to remove you from the course, you will not be able to return to the course and you may be barred from taking future training courses. In the case of such a dismissal due to conduct, refunds will NOT be provided.
Ownership of Training Course Materials
The Scholarship System’s training course materials are our confidential and proprietary information. The Scholarship System owns all intellectual property rights in the Training Materials. You may only use the Training Materials as required during a scholarship coaching session or workshop, and you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, disclose, or publish the Training Materials or use them for any other purpose. You may not alter or remove any proprietary notices or legends contained in or on any of the Training Materials or make them available to any third parties.
You will not impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, any employee of The Scholarship System, nor will you falsely assert or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation or authority with any person or entity.
If you violate this policy, The Scholarship System reserves the right to immediately dismiss you from the course, bar you from future training courses and/or deactivate your access (if applicable), in addition to any other remedies The Scholarship System may have at law or in equity.
Renewal of Certification
Training Passes and individually purchased course seats are valid for one year from the purchase date, and you must enroll and complete the course within the one-year purchase window. If you would like to continue course access, you can renew your program which also includes the annual recertification exam. If you choose to continue as a Scholarship System Certified Coach and maintain the badge on your website but you do not want to retain course access, you can take the recertification exam for a lower fee. Fees to be determined.

The Scholarship System respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information. We will not use personal information except as allowed by our Privacy Policy, as the same may be changed from time to time.
Enrolling in Training Courses
Payment
Training courses and certification exams offered by The Scholarship System are to be paid in full prior to the first day of the training course unless signed up for payment plan in which access will be removed if any payments do not process immediately.
Customer Cancellation
The Scholarship System Certification Program, certification retest exam, or recertification exam enrollments purchased with a credit card or PO are eligible for a full refund if you request to cancel or reschedule within 14 days of purchase. Customers who do not request to cancel their training course/exam enrollments within that time frame are not eligible for a refund.

To be eligible for a refund, you must submit a written request prior to the refund deadline. If you cancel before the refund deadline, you will receive a refund of course fees paid at the time of enrollment. Service fees such as credit card and ACH transaction fees are non-refundable.
You may file a petition for an exception to the refund policy if you are unable to continue for one of the following reasons:
- Sudden serious personal illness, or injury that requires hospitalization

- Compulsory military service

Expiration
Training Passes and individually purchased course seats are valid for one year from purchase date, and you must enroll and complete the course within the one-year purchase window. Any unused individual course seat(s) or unused Training Passes will expire after one year from purchase and will be forfeited.
Certification
In order to use the title “The Scholarship System Certified Scholarship Coach”, participants must complete, and submit, a successful final project and show a 100% completion rate of the course.
Final projects are graded and feedback is given within two weeks of submission.
Opt-Out
You may voluntarily opt-out of a certification exam if you do not seek certification for a particular course. However, once you opt-out, you forfeit your opportunity to submit the final project for the enrolled course. If you wish to participate in the certification exam in the future, you will need to re-enroll in the applicable The Scholarship System course.
The Scholarship System Badges and Permitted Usage
In recognition of your hard work and successful completion of the course, The Scholarship System may issue you a “Scholarship Coach Certified” badge. The Scholarship System permits you to use your Badge solely for personal purposes such as printing on your business cards or resume, and sharing on Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn or other personal social media profiles (Purpose).
You may only use the The Scholarship System Badge for the purpose if you (1) have passed the certification course, and (2) continue to comply with additional certification requirements that The Scholarship System may now or later communicate to you. You may not distribute, sell, alter, modify or otherwise use The Scholarship System Badge for a commercial purpose or any other purposes. Only The Scholarship System may issue a Badge and reserves the right to withdraw your permission to use the Badge if you use the Badge other than as explicitly authorized.
The Scholarship System Badges or Certifications are only awarded to individuals who pass the certification course. Companies, businesses or other entities may not use The Scholarship System Badges and may not issue The Scholarship System Badges to any person either directly or through any third party. If a company or other entity wants to recognize its employees' accomplishment in passing The Scholarship System certification course, it may do so in text, using a statement such as “We employ The Scholarship System certified scholarship coaches to serve our students.
